Robert Lewandowski is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Bundesliga club Bayern München and is the captain of the Poland national team. Renowned for his positioning, technique and finishing, Lewandowski is considered one of the greatest strikers of all time, as well as one of the most successful players in Bundesliga history. He has scored over 600 goals in his senior career for club and country.

Before establishing himself as one of the best players in the Bundesliga, Robert Lewandowski played in the third division

 of Polish football with Znicz Pruszków. In his first year of senior action, the 18-year-old forward led the league with 15 goals 

and followed up with another dominant year in the second division with 21 goals.

 

In the summer of 2010, Lewandowski signed for  Borussia Dortmund  for €4.75 million with the Polish League One Golden Boot and won 

the Bundesliga championship in its first season.
